On June 10th, the Quiroz Lab joined the initiative #ShutDownSTEM. We took down the cover art from our website to resoundingly state that Black Lives Matter. Below is the image and text that featured on our website from June 10th till June 16th.
BLACK LIVES MATTER TO BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERS
We stand in solidarity with our Black friends and colleagues. We applaud the #ShutDownSTEM initiative as a wake up call for everyone in Science and Engineering to reflect and take action against anti-Black racism. We are stronger together, but only if we truly respect and value our differences. Let’s not be color blind; color is beautiful.
